Great to meet you!

As a seasoned psychotherapist with over 12 years of diverse experience, I have honed my skills across various roles, including clinical supervisor and mental health director. My approach is rooted in compassion and a deep commitment to guiding clients toward more fulfilling, value-driven lives. I am efficient in helping individuals recover from pain, symptoms, and unhealthy interpersonal patterns. Through a tailored therapeutic journey, I empower clients to transform their lives, fostering resilience and real contentment.

While I treat clients of many presenting issues, I am particularly adept in working with clients who have Obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, depression, PTSD or those affected by trauma, and some personality disorders. I help many clients build their self-esteem and develop their self-assertiveness, and sometimes this is is in the context of their families or work.

My approach to therapy

I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is the cornerstone of successful therapy. Therefore, my therapeutic approach focuses on cultivating a unique and empowering connection with each client. I create a safe, judgment-free space where clients are encouraged to express themselves openly—you can say anything and show up exactly as you are.

Clients occasionally mention hesitating to attend a session because they don't feel like talking or feel scattered, to which I often respond, "If you can't be unhinged in therapy, where can you be?" It is always okay to show up as you are, with whatever you have, or don't have, and there is never any pressure to be anything beyond that. In my experience, the sessions we are tempted to avoid often turn out to be the most important and productive.

This environment fosters healing and personal growth, allowing clients to confront and overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and more. With deep respect for each individual's journey, I am committed to guiding clients toward meaningful change and emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

Clients engaging in sessions with me can anticipate a dynamic and personalized therapeutic experience. I employ an integrative approach that weaves together CBT, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and behaviorism, ensuring treatment aligns with each individual's unique needs and resonates with their personal journey. Our work is collaborative and client-driven, fostering reflection, meaningful prompts, and actionable tasks tailored to your goals. While I emphasize uncovering underlying themes and meanings in behavior, I am equally focused on on alleviating symptoms and distress. My practice is culturally sensitive, providing a supportive and inclusive environment in which all are welcome. I am a longtime ally of the LGBTIA+ community.
