Great to meet you!

I am a proud mother and lifelong Arizonan, deeply rooted in the values of community, compassion, and service that define small-town life. My nursing journey began at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where I cared for critically ill children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. I later transitioned into Labor and Delivery and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, supporting families through some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of their lives. My clinical path ultimately led me to hospice care, where I learned the profound importance of dignity, presence, and whole-person care at the end of life.

Alongside clinical practice, I found my passion for education, teaching nursing students at Northern Arizona University and Yavapai College. Through both bedside care and teaching, I witnessed firsthand how mental illness is often misunderstood, undertreated, and marginalized within our healthcare system—leaving patients and families without the support they deserve.

Driven by a deep desire to change this reality, I pursued advanced training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner . Today, my mission is to revolutionize healthcare by integrating compassion, evidence-based practice, and advocacy into mental health treatment. I am committed to improving access, reducing stigma, and ensuring that every individual is seen, heard, and treated with the respect and care they deserve. I also offer in-person ketamine treatments for treatment-resistant depression in Prescott, Arizona

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is compassionate, collaborative, and deeply patient-centered. I believe healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and respected—not rushed or reduced to a diagnosis. I take the time to understand each person’s story, values, and lived experience, recognizing that mental health is shaped by biology, trauma, relationships, environment, and life transitions.

I practice evidence-based psychiatry while remaining thoughtful and conservative with medication, using it as one tool—not the only solution. When appropriate, I integrate psychotherapy principles, lifestyle interventions, trauma-informed care, and education so patients feel empowered and involved in their treatment decisions. My goal is not just symptom relief, but long-term stability, resilience, and improved quality of life.

As a mother, nurse, and PMHNP with experience across critical care, hospice, and education, I bring a holistic lens to mental health care. I advocate fiercely for patients who have felt dismissed or undertreated, and I work to reduce stigma by normalizing mental health as an essential part of overall wellness. Above all, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where patients can heal, grow, and regain hope.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session with me to feel welcoming, calm, and judgment-free. I intentionally create a safe and supportive environment where you can speak openly about what’s been weighing on you—at your own pace. This first visit is not about rushing to labels or quick fixes; it’s about truly understanding you.

During our initial session, we will spend time reviewing your history, current concerns, stressors, and goals for care. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, but I also listen closely—because your lived experience matters. Together, we’ll begin to identify patterns, strengths, and areas where you want relief or change. Education is a key part of this process, so I explain options clearly and encourage questions so you feel informed and empowered.

By the end of the first session, clients typically leave with:

  • A clearer understanding of what may be contributing to their symptoms
  • Initial, realistic treatment goals tailored to their life and values
  • A collaborative plan that may include therapy approaches, medication options if appropriate, and supportive lifestyle strategies
  • A sense of being heard, validated, and not alone in the process

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling hopeful, supported, and confident that you have a partner in your care—someone who will walk alongside you as we work toward stability, healing, and long-term wellbeing.
