Great to meet you!

I’m Crystal Ortiz, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, and families. I hold master’s degrees in Clinical Counseling and Criminal Justice and am pursuing my doctorate in trauma and co-occurring disorders. I specialize in working with youth facing trauma, substance use, anxiety, and depression. I aim to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is caring, collaborative, and centered on creating a safe space where you feel comfortable being yourself. I use proven strategies like CBT, DBT, and solution-focused techniques, but I adapt each session to fit your unique needs and goals. I believe in working together as a team, celebrating strengths, tackling challenges, and building practical skills you can use in everyday life. I’m mindful of each person’s background and experiences, making sure therapy feels respectful and personal. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered to create positive changes that last.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll work toward building healthy coping skills, improving emotional regulation, and finding new ways to navigate challenges. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be open about your thoughts and feelings. My goal is for you to walk away with practical tools, increased self-confidence, and a stronger sense of hope for the future.
