Great to meet you!

Hello, I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Arizona. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ clients in navigating a range of concerns including identity exploration, relationship building, and living a life in line with your values. I have worked and trained in community mental health where I have worked with a diversity of clients. My training has always emphasized social justice, community care, and client empowerment.

My approach to therapy

My main approach to therapy is using Acceptance Commitment Therapy. This involves building acceptance of a full range of life experiences from the positive to the negative without avoidance. It also involves identifying your personal values and setting goals that are aligned with those values. In therapy we will explore your relationship with your thoughts and feelings, your coping strategies, and what strategies have become too rigid and get in the way of your life.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy involves setting goals. Together we will collaborate on what those goals will be and how you will know when you’ve reached it. Each session we will create a goal to achieve before the next session such as practicing a new skill or taking a step toward one of your longer term goals. Throughout treatment, we will be checking in on progress and any changes that may need to be made to best support you.
