Great to meet you!

I am an therapist, life skills coach, and advocate for healing. My background includes over 20 years in the helping profession as an educator (faculty, staff, and administration) and mental health professional. I have an earned doctorate from Baylor University and master's from East Texas A&M University in Guidance and Counseling. I combine Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (a CBT approach) with Rogerian practices as a treatment modality.

My approach to therapy

I know how to help move you from where you are, to where you want to be. Growth and change can be anxiety provoking, initially. But, so rewarding when properly nurtured. I use cognitive-behavioral counseling techniques to help people connect in their personal and professional lives. I can help you bridge the gap between communication and connection. I employ this "relational science" to help you work through the conflict and stressors of your life. Conflict is simply "growth trying to happen."

What you can expect from me

We are born-in, hurt-in, and healed-in relationships. I can help you unpack the challenges that keep you from living your best life. We constantly seek connection, and a sense of belonging, within our personal, family and work lives. Living in a state of despair, disappointment and pain is NOT normal. If you desire change, let's start that journey together today. My passion is helping people take courage in learning how to fully experience the hope that is within them.
