Great to meet you!

Mental health is something that all of us have to tend to, just like our physical health, and because of that I am deeply ardent and dedicated to helping people. I believe that people are highly capable of coping with incredibly difficult experiences, and still, everyone wants to be seen and understood. We all know that life is not fair, unfortunately, and it's important to me that I teach people how to regulate their thoughts, emotions, and actions when the unfairness of life swoops in. I have been a clinical social worker for 14 years, and I am extensively trained in DBT and RODBT therapy, and I am EMDR Certified.

My approach to therapy

I like to develop a connected relationship with my clients, and I take their goals seriously. I believe that being honest and direct are important aspects of having a genuine relationship, as well as validating people. I also consider myself someone who is warm and has a good sense of humor!

What you can expect from me

During the intake session I will gather your historical information, and understand what your chief complaint is - essentially, why you're seeking out therapy now! During the intake session we will also discuss your treatment goals. During the first official session, we will still be doing some rapport building, as I am getting to know you, and I'll likely check in with you about what went well or didn't go so well in the last week. This lays the foundation for skills discussion and treatment moving forward.
