Great to meet you!

Life can become overwhelming when you are carrying anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, anger, grief, or the weight of experiences you have never fully had the opportunity to process. Sometimes you know exactly what hurts; other times, you simply know something needs to change.

I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest without fear of judgment.

My clinical experience includes working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, anger, relationship and family concerns, grief, life transitions, low self-esteem, and challenges with communication. I'm especially passionate about helping people understand the connection between their past experiences and present-day patterns. Together, we can identify what no longer serves you, strengthen communication and emotional regulation skills, establish healthier boundaries, and develop practical strategies you can use outside the therapy room. My goal is not to tell you how to live your life. It is to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and feel more confident navigating the challenges ahead.

Whether you are struggling with something that happened recently or carrying experiences that have affected you for years, you do not have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. We can start exactly where you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I work with individuals ready to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping skills, improve their relationships, and start making meaningful changes in their lives. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based interventions while recognizing that therapy should never feel one-size-fits-all.

What you can expect from me

Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin identifying what you hope to gain from therapy. You don't need to have everything figured out, and you're never expected to share more than you are comfortable discussing.

We will talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you are currently experiencing, important parts of your history, and the changes you would like to see in your life. We will also explore your strengths, support system, coping strategies, and what has and hasn't worked for you in the past.

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative. You are encouraged to ask questions, express concerns, and tell me what you need from our sessions. Together, we will begin developing goals that are realistic, meaningful, and specific to you.

Most importantly, the first session is about creating a safe, respectful, and judgment-free space where you can begin to feel comfortable being yourself. You don't have to tell your entire story in one session. We will move at a pace that allows trust to develop naturally while still working toward the changes that brought you to therapy.
