Great to meet you!

Cynthia Baxter brings over 30 years of experience supporting individuals navigating stress, anxiety, and life’s many demands. She works with professionals in high-performance roles, busy parents, caregivers, and those managing conflict or major life transitions.

Clients often describe Cynthia as a calm and grounding presence during difficult times. She is deeply committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where each person feels heard, respected, and supported. Her work is rooted in compassion, consistency, and a genuine desire to help clients move toward greater balance and well-being.

My approach to therapy

Cynthia’s approach is multi-faceted, strength-based, and person-centered. She incorporates culturally sensitive practices to ensure that each client’s background and experiences are respected while also working to reduce stigma around mental health.

She focuses on building strong rapport and meeting clients where they are, tailoring her approach to each individual’s needs. Through active listening, empathy, and collaborative engagement, Cynthia helps clients reflect on their experiences, develop insight, and build practical tools to navigate challenges and create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Initial consultations are conducted by our intake team rather than directly with a provider to ensure faster scheduling. During this brief call, our administrative staff will answer general (non-clinical) questions, collect basic information, and help match you with the most appropriate provider.

While you may request a specific provider, pre-appointment consultation calls with clinicians are not available. All clinical discussions, recommendations, and treatment planning will take place during your scheduled appointment.

This process allows us to prioritize direct patient care while offering timely access to services.

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where they can openly share their concerns at their own pace. Cynthia prioritizes creating a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and valued.

This initial session focuses on getting to know you—your experiences, challenges, and goals—while beginning to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship. From there, Cynthia works collaboratively with you to identify next steps and create a path forward that aligns with your needs and personal growth.
