Great to meet you!

I've been practicing therapy for over two decades, and the thing that hasn't changed is this: people come in feeling stuck, and they leave with a clearer sense of what they actually need. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, couples counseling, and the particular burnout that comes from working in healthcare or high-stress environments. I work with children as young as 6, teenagers, adults, and older adults — each with the approach that fits them. I'm trained in EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, EFT, play therapy, and art therapy, and I offer both in-person sessions in North Phoenix and telehealth appointments throughout Arizona.

My approach to therapy

My approach is evidence-based and adaptive. That means I draw from EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based approaches — but what we actually use depends on what you're dealing with and how you process. With children and adolescents, I lean into play therapy, sand tray, and art therapy because kids often communicate more freely through activity than conversation. For healthcare workers and professionals experiencing burnout, chronic stress, or compassion fatigue, I bring specialized understanding of what it actually means to carry that load. I'm not here to give you a one-size-fits-all treatment plan. I'm here to figure out what moves the needle for you.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not an intake interview. Come as you are. We'll talk about what's been going on, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping for. You don't need to have it all figured out before you show up — that's what we work on together. By the end of that first hour, you'll have a clearer sense of how I work and whether it feels like the right fit. Most clients tell me they leave the first session feeling lighter, not because anything is solved yet, but because they finally said it out loud. Available evenings and weekday hours — book directly through Headway.
