Great to meet you!

I was a high-level investment banker before I pursued a doctorate to become a psychologist. I think my broad range of experiences helps me understand the reasons people come into therapy. I'm down-to-earth, pragmatic, and some even like my humor. In addition to my work as a therapist, I have taught and supervised graduate students, and ran a clinic with 75 psychotherapists.

I have degrees from Brown University, UCLA, Adelphi and a 4-year certificate from the William Alanson White Institute.

My approach to therapy

During the first session or two, I like to understand my clients' life stories, including their important relationships, challenges and successes in academic and work pursuits, as well as key struggles in life. What's their superpower? Their most satisfying experiences? From there, I like to narrow the focus to a few areas that they want to explore. I lend my eyes and ears to help clients lay out and broaden the choices that they can make in their lives.

What you can expect from me

My line of inquiry and our shared experiences help clients be more clearly aware of their patterns of everyday living. With that clarity, people can weigh their options and forge the path that they want to pursue.
