Great to meet you!

As a therapist, I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to be themselves, explore challenges, and work toward healing and growth. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and everyday stressors while building resilience, hope, and lasting change.

With over 16 years of experience in human services and 11 years in social work, I bring a diverse background in clinical practice, healthcare program management, and medical case management. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Mount Saint Mary's College and my Master of Social Work from Adelphi University. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting diverse populations facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges.

As a Hispanic Latina of Puerto Rican heritage, born and raised in New York, I value the importance of culture, family, and community. Outside of my professional role, I enjoy music and dancing, cherish spending time with my children, and am a proud dog and cat owner. I appreciate the comfort, companionship, and unconditional love that pets can bring and recognize the positive impact animals can have on emotional well-being.

Overall, I find it deeply rewarding to witness the strength and courage clients demonstrate throughout their journeys. My spark is helping, healing, and caring for others while empowering clients to rediscover their own spark and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in empathy, compassion, sincerity, and genuine connection, enabling me to establish meaningful therapeutic relationships that foster trust and promote personal growth and transformation.

Using a client-centered and solution-focused approach, I meet clients where they are while empowering them to recognize their strengths, develop resilience, and move toward their goals. I provide gentle guidance as clients process difficult emotions, life challenges, and past traumas, helping them gain insight, build confidence, and create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, and my goal is to make the process as comfortable and welcoming as possible. During our first session, you can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you are encouraged to share at your own pace. I understand that opening up can feel vulnerable, so I approach each client with empathy, compassion, sincerity, and genuine care.

Our initial session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I will take time to learn about your concerns, challenges, life experiences, strengths, and what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. We will discuss your goals and explore what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. Together, we will begin developing tools to help you cope with everyday stressors, build resilience, and work toward greater emotional well-being and life balance. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support, encouragement, and guidance as you navigate challenges and discover your strengths.
