Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm Cynthia, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 25 years of nursing experience and over 30 years of military service. Throughout my career, I've been dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, dignity, and hope.

At Integrative Behavioral Health & Wellness, I provide personalized, evidence-based psychiatric care with a holistic approach that recognizes the connection between mind, body, and spirit. My clinical background includes inpatient psychiatric nursing, correctional nursing, nursing education, intensive care, military resilience, suicide prevention, and intensive medical care.

I am passionate about supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, stress, and life transitions, including veterans and women navigating emotional wellness challenges.

I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and empowered on their journey toward mental wellness. My guiding philosophy is simple: "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."

My approach to therapy

I believe meaningful healing begins with connection, compassion, and understanding the whole person—not just a diagnosis. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and individualized, combining evidence-based psychiatric treatment with holistic strategies that support emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

I take time to listen to your story, understand your concerns, and explore how your lifestyle, relationships, experiences, and overall health may influence your mental wellness.

As a board-certified PMHNP and Holistic Nurse Coach, I integrate comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, thoughtful medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapeutic interventions with practical strategies for building resilience and achieving lasting wellness.

My style is warm, approachable, empowering, and nonjudgmental. I believe you are the expert on your lived experience, and together we can develop a treatment plan that honors your values, respects your preferences, and supports your personal goals.

My mission is to help you move beyond simply managing symptoms toward creating greater balance, resilience, and fulfillment in your life.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to connect, discuss your concerns, and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. My priority is to create a welcoming, safe, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences at your own pace.

We will complete a comprehensive psychiatric assessment that explores your current symptoms, mental and physical health history, lifestyle, relationships, strengths, and personal wellness goals. I will listen carefully, answer your questions, and work with you to identify the challenges affecting your well-being.

Together, we will discuss appropriate treatment options, which may include medication management, therapeutic interventions, lifestyle modifications, and complementary wellness strategies based on your individual needs.

You can expect compassion, honesty, clinical expertise, and a collaborative partnership throughout your care. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, respected, hopeful, and confident that we have a clear direction for moving forward.

You don't have to navigate your mental health journey alone. I'm here to support you as we work toward meaningful, sustainable wellness.
