My name is Cynthia Montero, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker in the State of Connecticut. I graduated from Fordham University with a Masters in Social Work and since then have worked in outpatient settings. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who have difficulty managing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and life transitions.
My approach focuses on developing person-centered goals using strength-based interventions to support clients in fostering change and healing. I believe building trust with a client involves an environment that is warm and nonjudgmental which is what can be expected in our first few sessions.
I am passionate about helping clients recognize unhelpful patterns of thinking, developing healthy outlets to release emotions, and overall supporting clients in their decision making through life changes.
