Great to meet you!

Sometimes you know something needs to change, but you’re not sure where to start. Maybe anxiety is taking up too much space, a relationship feels stuck, grief has changed your life, or you keep finding yourself in patterns you want to break. With 28 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I help clients make sense of what’s happening and figure out what they want to be different. I’m warm, straightforward, and genuinely curious about your story. Most importantly, I want therapy to help you move forward, not just talk about what’s wrong.

My approach to therapy

I’m a goal-oriented therapist, which means we’ll always keep an eye on where you want to go. We’ll talk about what’s happening in your life, but we’ll also focus on what you can do differently and what progress would actually look like for you. I use relational, behavioral, solution-focused, and motivational approaches depending on what you need. We might work on improving a relationship, managing anxiety or panic, navigating grief, changing unhealthy patterns, or building confidence in your decisions. I’ll meet you where you are while also helping you take meaningful steps forward.

What you can expect from me

You don’t need to come into our first session with everything figured out. We’ll have a real conversation about what’s going on, what prompted you to reach out now, and what you’d like to be different. I’ll listen, ask questions, and help us start putting words around your goals. By the end, you should have a better sense of what we can work on together and what your next steps might look like. My goal is for you to feel comfortable being honest with me and confident that we have a direction to work toward.
