Great to meet you!

Cynthia earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Montclair State University in 2006. She spent several years working as a school counselor before becoming a Licensed Therapist and brings additional experience from her earlier career as a special education teacher. As a mother of two and a former educator, Cynthia combines professional expertise with genuine compassion, allowing her to connect meaningfully with individuals and support them thoughtfully in addressing their mental health needs.

My approach to therapy

Cynthia works with clients across the lifespan, from adolescents to older adults. She blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with mindfulness techniques to help clients break free from unhelpful thought patterns, gain clarity, and stay grounded in the present—empowering them to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

What you can expect from me

In your first counseling session with me, you can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel heard and respected. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brought you to counseling, and identifying your goals for therapy at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences while also explaining how the counseling process works and what you can expect moving forward. This initial session is a collaborative starting point—designed to help you feel at ease, build trust, and begin laying the foundation for meaningful and positive change.
