Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! Taking the first step toward therapy can feel difficult, and I want to acknowledge the courage it can take to reach out. My name is Cynthia, though I go by Cyndra, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who primarily works with individuals.

My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my own unexpected life transition. In 2010, I experienced a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that dramatically changed the course of my life. During my recovery, I gained a deeper understanding of how challenging major life transitions can be and how important it is to have support while navigating uncertainty, loss, and change. I also became fascinated by how the brain works, how our experiences shape us, and our capacity to heal and adapt. That journey ultimately led me into the mental health field in 2012.

Since then, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves.

My approach to therapy

I am passionate about mental health and provide compassionate and transformative healing for individuals who have experienced anxiety, major depression, brain injury and trauma. I am dedicated to guiding our clients on a journey towards recovery, resilience, and self-discovery through evidence-based therapy, psychedelic-assisted therapy, Brainspotting, and a holistic, collaborative approach to mental well-being. My approach is a commitment to encouraging a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients can explore their inner landscapes, confront past traumas, and find hope and healing.

Healing is a collaborative journey, and I am honored to walk alongside our clients as they navigate the path to recovery. My core values include empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of the unique needs of each individual and believe in individualizing the approach to each client.

What you can expect from me

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to work alongside you as we explore what may be contributing to your struggles, identify patterns that are no longer serving you, and develop strategies that support meaningful change.

Together, we can identify and strengthen the internal resources you already possess while building new tools for approaching life’s challenges. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, improve your relationships with others, and feel more confident navigating whatever life brings.

Above all, I believe healing begins within a relationship where you feel seen, heard, and accepted. I strive to provide a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, process difficult experiences, and move toward the life you want to create.
