Great to meet you!

Know that I have sat with people through some of the hardest transitions life hands you - loss, addiction's ripple effects on the family, a diagnosis that changes everything. I spent a decade in hospital-based addiction and behavioral medicine, five years as a community- and hospice-based bereavement counselor, and over a decade in private practice, and every one of those years taught me that grief and hard change don't follow a script. Expect someone direct, warm, and empowering with you, not someone who nods along without saying anything real.

My approach to therapy

I deeply believe that there is no single approach to therapy that works best for everyone, so don't expect a rigid formula from me. Bring whatever is actually going on, and we'll build the approach around your personality, your relationships, and what you're trying to get to, drawing from ACT, CBT, humanistic, and insight-oriented work depending on what fits. Expect me to listen without judgement before I offer direction.

What you can expect from me

Expect an unhurried conversation, not an intake checklist. Come ready to talk about what brought you to therapy and what you're hoping is different on the other side of this. Leave the session with a sense that you were actually heard, and a start on where we go from here, not a diagnosis and homework packet.
