Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Cynthia — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 17 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. I work with people who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or carrying more than they can name out loud — including older adults, those navigating serious health challenges or end-of-life questions, and clients who want to integrate faith or spiritual values into their work. My approach is warm, practical, and grounded in evidence-based care. You don't have to figure it out alone.

My approach to therapy

I bring a calm, steady presence to every session. My style is warm, relational, and collaborative — structured and direct, but never clinical or stiff. I draw primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based approaches, and I tailor what I use to what's actually working for you. Sessions are practical: we'll name what's hard, build tools you can use between sessions, and notice progress together.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a relaxed, structured conversation. I'll ask what brought you in, what you've been carrying, and what you'd like to feel different. Together we'll set a few clear goals and sketch out an initial 3-month plan — at a pace that's comfortable for you. You'll leave with a sense of direction and one or two things to try before our next session. Whatever you bring, you won't carry it alone.
