Cyre Guadalupe

I'm a BIPOC licensed clinical social worker in the state of New York. I earned my master of science in social work from Columbia University in 2013 specializing in family, youth and children services. I have experience working with individuals of all ages and specialize in serving adults and adolescents who come from diverse backgrounds and are experiencing a wide array of challenges. Much of my expertise involves working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma.

My therapeutic style is client-centered and I utilize a strengths-based approach to engage and motivate clients to achieve their goals and overcome any barriers to success as well as develop coping mechanisms to manage daily stressors. I primarily use evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling. However, I will explore other treatment modalities that best suites my client’s needs.

The feedback I receive from clients is that they find me to be warm, approachable, nonjudgmental and supportive. I believe that it is essential to have someone outside of your immediate circle to offer honest and unbiased support and I hope to be that person for you! I want us to be collaborators along this journey and ensure we are making progress on goals that you have for yourself. Together, we’ll work to address whatever challenges you are experiencing and help you learn more about yourself.
