Helping people help themselves is my focus, building on their strengths for advancement in a balanced mental health lifestyle is my goal! I'm a NJ LCSW with a Master’s Degree (Rutgers U.), a Bachelor’s (Kean U.) & an Associate’s of Arts in Human Services (community college); along with 20+ yrs of field experience, which have all qualified my collaboration skills to empower you and your family with the utmost respect, sensitivity, and strength-focused approach for your therapeutic journey. Please know that I have lived and professional experiences with migration, neurodiversity, gender diversity, and adoption journeys and believe strongly that each human is an expert of their own journey.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is being inclusive of your present needs, while building from your past & planning for a balanced future. Guidance with journeys by using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma informed practices, Family & Strengths-Focused approaches help explore connections to formal & informal support systems. Sensitivity to culture with a diversity on connecting thoughts & feelings to behaviors & actions. Therapeutic support to families & individuals that have experienced migration, an adoption or LGBTQ+ journey.

What you can expect from me

Find a safe environment to be emotionally vulnerable, to explore healing practices, and interpersonal challenges that may impact you through life transitions, stress, depression, anxiety or trauma. Sessions are structured with solution focused tasks and skill building. Integration in daily social, familial, employment, or recreational life is promoted. I provide a safe, validating, affirming, and welcoming space that caters to specific family needs. My working hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10:30am-4:30pm.
