Daia Stager

Daia Stager, LCSW, has developed a wellness-focused synergy that incorporates somatic awareness with CBT and EMDR that can support you in clearing the path to inner meaning, comfort and joy. The AlphaPsy (think sigh of relief) process reveals your body/mind's ability to rewire your brain, making it kinder and more focused, as needed. Daia began her interest in the healing arts in 1988 as a bodyworker, tai chi instructor and yoga practitioner in conjunction with medical professionals. Her focus has been on desensitizing trauma bonds and reprocessing brain pathways from toxic, useless and non-beneficial patterns since then, into the present through her clinical skills. In working with survivors of childhood adverse experiences, military veterans and first responders, Daia has contributed to the successful processing of complex trauma.

By positively reframing harsh, harmful inner stories (CBT), adverse experience's influences gently dissolve when combined with EMDR. To be comfortable in your own skin, we will practice listening your inner wisdom & building trust in your ability to face challenges & stressors that have, in the past, left you with intrusive thoughts, feeling overwhelmed & debilitated.

I combine psychoeducation about why your brain and emotions are responding in ways that don't serve you, first of all to normalize you experiences, and then rewrite your inner script with positive reframes, positive intentions and practical "How-to" skills, so that you can be better able to handle situations that were challenging you. Together we build and inner home and a tool box with skills that work for you.
