Great to meet you!

My name is Dakota. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor located in the North Metro area of Atlanta. I have been working with a diverse range of clients since 2018. I graduated from the University of North Georgia in 2019 with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My practice aims to help clients find their way through life and learn to adapt to all life's changes. I prioritize offering affirming, judgment-free, and objective feedback while also providing research-based treatment for a variety of mental health conditions.

My approach to therapy

A major goal of my practice is providing a safe, affirming space for clients to share and explore. My work as a therapist is rooted in a person-centered approach, meaning the focus of sessions is what you want to tackle with my support to help guide you there. My philosophy as a therapist is rooted in an existential, compassionate perspective. I like to help clients make sense of their world and understand themselves better.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me always begins with an initial session or two where we go over the major brushstrokes of your life's journey. We begin to brainstorm and then specify what your main goals for therapy are and then meet in following sessions to process and keep you on a path toward where you want to go.
