Great to meet you!
Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for therapy isn’t always easy, and taking that first step takes courage. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you don’t have to face it alone. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted from the moment you walk through the door. I’m Dakota Goldsberry, EdS, MA, LPCC-S, LPC, NCC, THLT, a licensed professional counselor serving clients in West Virginia, Ohio, and Florida. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, helping people navigate life’s challenges while discovering their strengths and building hope for the future. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and my Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Counselor Education and Supervision with a specialization in Play Therapy from the University of Mississippi. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals heal from trauma and other distressing life experiences. Because every person’s story is unique, I believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan that addresses your needs, builds on your strengths, and supports your goals, whether you’re seeking help for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, emotional regulation, family conflict, behavioral concerns, or another challenge. Above all, I want you to know that therapy is a place where you don’t have to pretend everything is okay. My hope is that you’ll leave each session feeling supported, encouraged, and equipped with practical tools to move toward the life you want to live. My mission is simple: to help you cross life’s difficult places - one step at a time.
