Great to meet you!

You might be here because something feels stuck. Maybe it’s anxiety that won’t settle, pain your body keeps holding, or a past that still shows up in the present. Whatever brought you, I want you to know you don’t have to have the words for it yet. We can find them together.

My work centers on complex trauma, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. I have a particular depth in complex trauma and dissociation, and I’m comfortable sitting with the hard things, including self-harm, without flinching or rushing you. I see clients from age 13 through older adulthood.

Outside the therapy room, I train other clinicians through the FoundBetween Training Institute and supervise counselors early in their careers. I’m also back in the pool after a decade away from competitive swimming, which keeps me humble and reminds me that coming back to something hard is always possible.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, which means I draw on what fits you rather than asking you to fit a method. I’m trained in DBT, EMDR, ACT, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Deep Brain Reorienting. Much of my work includes the body, because so much of what we carry lives there. I’m also a longtime mindfulness teacher, and that shapes how I show up: curious, steady, and paying attention to what’s happening right now in the room.

In sessions, you can expect warmth, honesty, and some humor when it helps. I’ll explain what we’re doing and why. You stay in charge of the pace.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is mostly about getting to know each other. I’ll ask what brought you in, what you’re hoping will change, and a bit about your history, but you decide how much to share. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story on day one.

I’ll also explain how I work, answer any questions you have about therapy or about me, and talk through confidentiality so you know what stays between us. Many people come in feeling nervous, and that’s okay. I’ll go at your pace and check in along the way.

By the end, my hope is that you leave with a clearer sense of what we’d work on together, a few first ideas about how we’d get there, and a feel for whether I’m the right fit. That fit matters, and I want you to feel free to be honest about it.

If this sounds like a fit, I’d be glad to talk with you.
