Great to meet you!

I work with individuals and couples navigating identity, belonging, and relationships—especially within LGBTQIA+, kink/leather, sex-work, and consensual non-monogamy communities. As a queer, kinky, poly Black man, I bring lived experience and cultural awareness into the therapy room, alongside clinical training. I often support clients who have felt like outsiders due to race, queerness, trauma, or relationship structure, and who want a space where they don’t have to explain or shrink themselves. I became a therapist out of a deep curiosity about people and a belief in the power of being truly seen, understood, and supported in creating meaningful change. My goal is to offer an affirming, nonjudgmental space where authenticity is welcomed and complexity is held with care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct, balancing compassion with thoughtful challenge. I draw from DBT, CPT, Motivational Interviewing, SFBT, Developmental Model for couples therapy, values-based work, among other modalities, tailoring therapy to each client’s goals and needs. I often focus on shame, attachment patterns, relational conflict, emotional regulation, and building a more authentic sense of self. With individuals and couples, I integrate identity exploration with practical tools that support change both inside and outside the therapy room. Therapy with me is active and reflective—grounded in insight, skill-building, and meaningful behavioral shifts.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you—your story, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what you’re hoping will be different. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand your identities, relationships, strengths, and current challenges, while also making space for anything you want me to know. You can expect a conversational, collaborative tone where we move at your pace and begin identifying priorities for our work together. We may start outlining goals and discussing how therapy can support them, but there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. Most importantly, the first session is about creating safety, building rapport, and helping you feel seen and understood.
