Great to meet you!

Hell I'm Daleshia Hulett, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and Certified School Counselor with more than 20 years of experience in education and behavioral health. As the owner of Your Safe Place Counseling & Consulting, PLLC, I am committed to creating a welcoming, judgment-free environment where every voice, story, and journey matters.

AT YSP we service children, adolescents, adults, and seniors experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, relationship concerns, divorce, family conflict, life transitions, Bipolar, addictions, and men’s mental health challenges. Our approach is client-centered and may incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused interventions, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies tailored to each client’s needs.

We understand that beginning therapy can feel uncomfortable, so we focus on building trust and meeting clients where they are. Together, we will identify unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, establish healthier boundaries, and create realistic goals for meaningful change. At Your Safe Place, we service the mind, change the behavior, and challenge the thoughts.

My approach to therapy

Our approach to therapy is client-centered, compassionate, and collaborative. We believe every client deserves a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where they can be heard, understood, and accepted. We meet clients where they are while helping them identify the thoughts, behaviors, and experiences that may be preventing them from moving forward.

We use evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused techniques, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies. Together, we work to challenge unhealthy thought patterns, strengthen communication and boundaries, develop effective coping skills, and create realistic goals for lasting change.

At Your Safe Place, we service the mind, change the behavior, and challenge the thoughts.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you can share your story at your own pace. We will discuss what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, and what you hope to accomplish. You will also have an opportunity to ask questions and determine whether your therapist is the right for you.

Together, you and your selected therapist with begin identifying your goals and developing a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs. You do not have to arrive with everything figured out your first session is simply the beginning of creating your safe place for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
