Great to meet you!
I am dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized psychiatric care that helps individuals improve their mental health and overall quality of life. My medical career began in Cuba, where I practiced as a physician for many years, gaining extensive clinical experience and developing a strong commitment to caring for patients with empathy and respect.
After moving to the United States, I became a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and later completed a Post-Master's Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Over the past decade, I have worked in collaboration with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary mental health teams, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, managing medications, and supporting individuals throughout their recovery.
I believe that successful treatment begins with building a trusting relationship. I take time to listen carefully, understand each person's unique experiences, and create a supportive, judgment-free environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns. Together, we develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans designed to meet each client's specific needs and goals.
I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, insomnia, and other psychiatric conditions. My goal is to help clients manage their symptoms, strengthen their emotional well-being, improve their daily functioning, and achieve lasting, meaningful progress.
As a bilingual provider fluent in English and Spanish, I value cultural sensitivity and recognize the importance of respecting each client's background and personal experiences. I am committed to partnering with my clients through open communication, mutual trust, and compassionate care to support their journey toward emotional wellness and recovery.
