Damilola James Ilesanmi

Hi, I'm Damilola James Ilesanmi, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who cares for children, teens, adults, and older adults. I earned my master's degree from Northern Kentucky University and have more than 14 years of nursing experience, including extensive experience in psychiatric hospitals and crisis care. I provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management for concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, and substance use. My goal is to provide thoughtful, respectful care that considers the whole person, not just a diagnosis.

My care is warm, honest, and judgment-free. I take time to listen and understand you as a whole person, not just your symptoms. When medication may help, I explain your options in plain language, start thoughtfully, and monitor your response so we can adjust as needed. I also use supportive therapy, practical coping strategies, and patient education. We will work together to develop a treatment plan that fits your needs, goals, and preferences.

Your first visit is a relaxed, private conversation where you can share what's been going on at your own pace. I'll ask about your mood, sleep, stress, health history, and what matters most to you, and you can ask me anything. You may fill out a few short questionnaires that help us track how you're doing over time. By the end, we'll have a clear starting plan with goals we both agree on. Most of all, I want you to leave feeling heard, hopeful, and knowing what comes next.
