Great to meet you!

I’m Dammy Sanou‐Adekanmbi, a board‐certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence‐based mental health care. I specialize in helping individuals navigate complex emotional and behavioral challenges through thoughtful assessment, psychopharmacology, and personalized treatment planning. My experience includes serving diverse populations across community, outpatient, and correctional settings, where I’ve provided comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention, and ongoing support for both acute and chronic conditions. I also have extensive expertise in Medication‐Assisted Treatment (MAT) for individuals managing opioid use disorder. Clients describe my style as warm, collaborative, and non‐judgmental. I believe that healing happens when people feel heard, supported, and empowered—so I work closely with you to understand your story, align treatment with your goals, and build a plan that promotes long‐term stability and wellness. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, or navigating life changes, my goal is to create a safe and affirming space where you can heal and grow at your own pace. Specialties: • Psychiatric assessment & diagnosis • Medication management • MAT for opioid use disorder • Trauma‐informed care • Crisis intervention • Treatment planning & behavioral strategies If you’re ready to take the next step toward better mental health, I’m here to support you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is rooted in compassion, evidence‐based practice, and a belief that every person deserves individualized support on their path to healing. I focus on understanding the whole person—not just symptoms—so I can partner with you to create a treatment plan that aligns with your unique needs, goals, and lived experiences.

I use a collaborative, patient‐centered model, which means we work together to make decisions about your care. This includes thoughtful psychiatric evaluation, clear communication about treatment options, and ongoing support as your needs evolve. My goal is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout your journey.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, I’ll take time to understand your concerns, history, and goals so we can build a treatment plan that feels safe, personalized, and sustainable. I review any information you share ahead of time to make our time together meaningful, and I encourage you to tell me what you’d like to focus on. You can expect compassionate, structured, and collaborative care from day one.
