Great to meet you!

I completed a master's degree in clinical psychology and a PhD in counseling psychology. I am licensed as a clinical psychologist. I have been working as a therapist since 2004 and am honored to help you in the process of growth, fulfillment, and understanding yourself and your relationships. I specialize in treatment that considers attachment styles and how humans connect to ourselves and others.

My approach to therapy

My highest value as a psychologist is offering kindness to you in a way that helps you understand yourself, others, and the situations that you are experiencing . I work hard to offer empathy as well as constructive feedback in a kind manner when it's helpful.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I review the basics of being in a therapeutic relationship, which includes confidentiality as well as what you may want. Often times, I work with patients who don't exactly know what they want in therapy, and that is okay too.

The majority of time during the first session involves welcoming you and asking you teach me about yourself, sometimes by describing what is currently happening in your life and other times by teaching me about your experiences during childhood. When it's helpful, I usually ask questions to help you teach me about yourself and your experience.
