Great to meet you!

Psychotherapy is a career path I came to later in adulthood after working in the advertising field for five years. While I learned a great deal about navigating human relationships in that space, my true calling came from a series of volunteer opportunities, working with adults with special needs in medical settings. From there, I started to take courses in abnormal psychology, as well as developmental psychology, which further enhanced my desire to work in the field of mental health. After receiving my Master of Social Work in 2018, I worked in a hospital outpatient mental health clinic where I assisted adults and older adults (65+) experiencing mood disorders, and complicated grief.

My approach to therapy

I consider my approach to be warm, authentic, and supportive; whether this is your first experience in talk therapy or not, I do my best to create a safe and trusting space from the start of our first session so that you can feel comfortable discussing your most pressing concerns. I focus on the presenting issue while exploring past experiences and underlying issues that have led to your current struggles. It is important to understand what is at the core of the issues to make lasting positive changes. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, problem-solving treatment, and mindfulness exercise

What you can expect from me

From our very first session, you can expect a calm, collaborative, and supportive space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we'll explore what's bringing you to therapy, clarify your goals, and begin identifying practical, solution-focused strategies that help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
