Great to meet you!

My name is Dan Piñon (they/them) and I am a gender queer, mixed, latine (Mexican), neurodivergent therapist. I have had the honor of working with a wide variety of ages, background and needs. This includes specific communities such as queer/trans folks, neurodiverse humans, young/emerging adults, college students, BIPOC & multicultural identities, and trauma survivors.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My work is influenced heavily by my values of anti-racism, anti-capitalism, queer and intersectional feminist theory, fat liberation and disability justice. My therapy approach is integrative, trauma informed, queer affirming, sex-positive, and anti-oppressive. I have also developed some areas of strong interest, including complex grief, neurodivergence, burnout, relational trauma, family wounds, somatic based practices, and identity exploration.

What you can expect from our first session

As a somatic therapist, I use therapeutic brain-body approaches, such as brainspotting, to reprocess negative experiences and release the emotional/physical survival energy that was stuck within those experiences. All are welcome in my space and ,with me, therapy will be a collaborative process where I hold you within the vast complexities from which you come.
