Great to meet you!

You may be feeling overwhelmed by stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, career pressures, or parenting responsibilities. I help young adults and adults better understand their emotions, develop practical coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. I also work with teens navigating school stress, identity development, and social pressures.

As a husband, parent, and business owner, I understand many of the real-world demands clients face. My approach focuses on building a strong counseling relationship while using proven strategies that help clients build confidence, resilience, and healthier ways of coping.

Areas of focus include: anxiety, ADHD, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, anger, grief and loss, trauma, self-worth, motivation, executive functioning, Autism Spectrum Disorder, mood disorders, communication skills, and men’s issues.

I believe every client has strengths and the ability to grow. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I’m glad you’re here. I offer a free phone consultation so you can ask questions and see if we’re a good fit.

I hold Master’s degrees from Kean University and Monmouth University and have over 15 years of experience providing counseling in private practice, schools, foster care programs, residential settings, and intensive outpatient programs.

My approach to therapy

My approach is humanistic and incorporates (CBT) cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, motivational interview, acceptance and commitment therapy as well as other evidence-based treatments. I bring a combination of warmth, compassion and humor when appropriate to each session. I offer in person appointments at our Neptune City office, outdoors for clients interested in eco-therapy, walk and talks at nearby parks, adventure based experiential sessions, as well as virtual appointments.

What you can expect from me

During the first appointment we will identify strengths, goals, factors contributing to challenges and begin to understand the connection between thoughts, feelings and actions. We can also discuss approaches that often contribute to resilience and sustained progress.
