Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Dana Campagna, I'm a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in California. The majority of my predoctoral training has been in third-wave cognitive and behavioral therapies (CBT, DBT, ACT, MBCBT, ERP, IPNB) though I consider myself an integrationist clinician, utilizing numerous therapuetic approaches and clinical interventions to best meet my client's needs. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at UCSB, practicing trauma-and neurodiverse-informed individual and group therapy for emerging and young adults with a focus on LGBTQ+ individuals. I am strongly social justice and equity/inclusion motivated, trauma-informed, and strengths-/evidence-based.

My approach to therapy

I would describe my therapeutic style as warm and collaborative, growth- and insight-based, attuned and agile. I view therapy as a deeply individual and exploratory space, and my aim is for clients to feel seen and heard, empowered, challenged and inspired to reach their therapy and personal goals. Clients and coworkers have generally described me as warm, engaging, transparent, and collaborative. I strive to combine extensive clinical training with authenticity, reverence, curiosity and trust.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we would briefly explore personal and therapeutic history, address treatment goals and hopes for therapy, and ask/answer any questions to aid in building trust and rapport. The intake session is also an opportunity for the client to learn more about me, and for me to outline initial thoughts about possible treatment focus and directions for therapy.
