Great to meet you!

For the last several years I've worked as a hospital-based counselor, mostly supporting adults through anxiety and depression, and I'm finally ready to try this on my own terms too. I know what it's like to feel anxious myself, which keeps me grounded with people working through the same thing. If you're an adult looking for someone who gets it, I'd love to hear from you.

My approach to therapy

Anxiety and depression are where I spend most of my time, and I also sit with people through grief, since loss tends to bring both of those up anyway. I come out of a collaborative care model, which means I'm used to working closely with other parts of someone's care rather than treating sessions as the only piece of the puzzle. In practice that looks like helping people notice their own patterns, gently challenge the stories they tell themselves, and find small, repeatable ways to feel more like themselves day to day. I keep things conversational rather than clinical. We talk, I ask questions, and together we figure out what's actually getting in the way.

What you can expect from me

When you come in, I want to hear what's actually going on, not just a symptom checklist. I'll ask about what anxiety or low mood looks like day to day for you, and from there we build a plan together instead of me handing you one. People tend to leave the first conversation feeling like someone finally slowed down enough to listen, and a little lighter for having said it out loud.
