Great to meet you!

Hello!

My name is Dana Dansby, as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I enjoy helping my patients find solutions to their issues. Listening to my clients, teaching them coping skills, and encouraging them to take action towards their goals are the ways I interact with my clients in therapy. I believe in creating a warm, open, supportive and safe environment for my patients to thrive and grow in.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to first, get to know who my clients are and allow them to learn who I am as well. I seek to know their likes, dislikes, hobbies, interests and the things that are special to them and about them. I also am listening to discover how they cope with life’s changes. My aim is to work with the patient from their position of strengths with intentions to build upon that foundation, equipping them to cope with their challenges positively.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about meeting the client and finding out what their needs are. I let the clients know that this 1st session involves partly gathering information that will be insightful in helping to create a unique treatment plan and getting to know one another better to determine if we’re a good fit for each other.
