Great to meet you!

I've spent my career working at the intersection of trauma and addiction — not because it's easy work, but because I believe people deserve real support in their hardest moments. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in New York, with advanced training in psychology and counseling, I specialize in Opioid Use Disorder, trauma recovery, and the kind of complex, layered pain that doesn't fit neatly into a diagnosis. I'm also a single mother who earned my degrees while raising two kids — so when someone tells me life feels overwhelming, I don't just nod. I get it.

My approach to therapy

My work draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused techniques, and mindfulness — but what that looks like in practice is less about methods and more about partnership. CBT helps us identify and challenge the stories that keep you stuck. Trauma-focused work lets us process what happened at a pace that feels safe, not forced. Mindfulness gives you tools to stay grounded when things get hard. I ask every client the same question: How can we work together to make things better? That question shapes everything. You set the direction; I help you move.

What you can expect from me

You don't need to arrive with everything figured out or a polished explanation of why you're here. In our first session, I'm mostly listening — getting a real sense of what your life feels like right now and what you're hoping changes. I won't push you somewhere you're not ready to go. A lot of people I work with have spent years trying to manage on their own before reaching out, and asking for help took courage. I want that courage to be met with warmth. We'll figure out the rest together.
