Great to meet you!

I am Dana Donovan, a licensed therapist with a decade of experience supporting individuals through life’s most challenging moments. I have worked in an acute behavioral health inpatient unit, a medical trauma and burn center, and outpatient dialysis unit. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington and my Master of Social Work from Boston College.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in helping people navigate depression, anxiety, stress, and grief, as well as the transitions and life changes that can feel overwhelming.

My approach is grounded in compassion and collaboration. I believe that therapy works best when you feel truly heard and supported-not judged. I draw on evidence-based practices to help you build coping skills, process difficult emotions, and reconnect with your sense of self-worth.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, our main goal is simply to help you feel safe, comfortable, and truly heard. There is no pressure to have everything figured out. We will gently discuss what brings you to therapy-whether you are navigating a major life, transition, managing anxiety, or process processing a difficult loss. We will also talk about your goals and how we can use compassionate, evidenced-based practices to build practical coping skills and reconnect with your sense of self.
