Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dana — a clinical social worker and certified life coach who believes that healing begins with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work at San Diego State University, where I focused on Psychiatric Social Work. Over the years, I’ve served as a Clinical Program Director in both board-and-care and case management programs, supporting individuals as they move through trauma, narcissistic abuse, grief and loss, and major life transitions toward greater independence and peace.

Clients often describe me as warm, easy to talk to, and nonjudgmental. My approach is flexible and collaborative . I believe therapy works best when we make decisions together. I draw from a range of evidence-based methods, including DBT, EMDR, the Gottman Method, Motivational Interviewing, and ADHD/Neurodivergent Coaching, to create a plan that fits each person’s unique needs.

At the heart of my work is a strength-based and solution-focused philosophy: I help clients uncover their resilience, develop practical coping skills, and move toward a life of clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and personalized. I believe that healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and nonjudgmental support. I view each client as the expert in their own life, and together we explore what’s working, what’s not, and how to create meaningful, lasting change.

I use an eclectic approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as CBT,DBT, EMDR, the Gottman Method, Motivational Interviewing, and ADHD/Neurodivergent Coaching. This allows me to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique goals, needs, and pace.

My work is strength-based and solution-focused, helping clients identify their inner resilience and build practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. Whether we’re working on managing emotions, improving relationships, or finding balance, I aim to create a space that feels safe, empowering, and collaborative—where clients can grow into the most authentic version of themselves.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about getting to know you. I take time to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where you can share what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. We’ll talk about your background, current challenges, and goals, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.

Together, we’ll begin identifying priorities for our work and outline a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and collaborative. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions about the therapy process, my approach, or anything that helps you feel more at ease.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful—with a sense that you’re not alone in whatever you’re facing, and that we’ll work together to find the path forward.
