Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in mental health and child welfare. I work especially well with people dealing with trauma, domestic violence, difficult relationships, religious trauma, anxiety, and experiences that have left them feeling disconnected from themselves. I’m trained in EMDR with parts/ego states and dissociation. I believe therapy can hold both the messy and the meaningful parts of your story without judgment.

My approach to therapy

My style is conversational, curious, and pretty down-to-earth. You won’t get a lot of therapist nodding while I wait for the hour to end. We’ll talk about what is happening now, but we’ll also get curious about what’s underneath it. I use EMDR with ego states/parts work, CBT, and other trauma-informed approaches depending on what fits you. I’ll validate you, but I’ll also gently challenge you when I notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really about getting to know each other and seeing if we are a good fit. You don’t have to show up knowing exactly what you want to work on or how to explain everything perfectly. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what life looks like right now, and what you would like to be different. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, ask questions, laugh when things are ridiculous, and talk about the things that are harder to say out loud.
