Great to meet you!

Welcome! I provide care to adolescents and adults navigating mental health challenges with a focus on premenstrual, prenatal, and postpartum concerns as well as disordered eating/eating disorders. I provide both conventional medication treatment and functional psychiatry (the use of focused lab testing and targeted nutritional supplementation to improve mood and function).

I take a holistic, affirming approach and believe mental health care should account for the full picture of your life—not just a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. I strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment for LGBTQIA+ individuals and those living in larger bodies. I have previously worked as a birth doula and labor and delivery nurse, and have advanced training through the National Curriculum in Reproductive Psychiatry, Postpartum Support International, and Psychiatry Redefined.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and individualized. I believe that psychiatric diagnosis should not be rushed, and recognize that diagnosis can bring a host of emotions, ranging from relief to sadness to anger. I welcome the opportunity to hold the full spectrum of your life experiences, from the hilarious and absurd to the exquisitely painful. Because the foundation of our work is the strength of our therapeutic relationship, I prefer to see patients in-person, though telehealth appointments are available for those limited by distance or other factors.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know you, understand what brings you to care, and discuss your mental health history, current symptoms, goals, and any factors affecting your well-being. We’ll talk through treatment options, including whether medication management, functional testing and treatment, or a combination of both may be helpful. You can expect an open, nonjudgmental conversation and a treatment plan developed collaboratively around your priorities.
