Great to meet you!

One of the core beliefs that guides my work is that people make sense when their experience is truly understood. I approach every client with curiosity rather than judgment, recognizing that beneath anxiety, conflict, anger, or unhealthy patterns are often experiences of pain, fear, guilt, or shame. My goal is to help you understand what's really driving those struggles so we can move beyond self-criticism and create meaningful, lasting change. Ultimately, the goal is to help you experience life with contentment—not because life's challenges disappear, but because your core ability to navigate them is developed.

My clinical specialties include anxiety in men and women, women's mental health, pregnancy and postpartum adjustment, life transitions, healing from toxic and unhealthy relationship patterns, and couples therapy. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling in your relationship, recovering from a painful or unhealthy relationship, or facing a significant life transition, my goal is to help you better understand yourself and the patterns that keep you feeling stuck.

My approach to therapy

I hold two master's degrees and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Drug and Alcohol Counselor (DAC). I am also Gottman Method Certified, with specialized training in helping couples rebuild trust, improve communication, and strengthen emotional connection. Before entering full-time clinical practice, I served as a college psychology professor, an experience that continues to shape my approach by making complex psychological concepts practical and accessible.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for you to be understood in a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space. My goal is for you to feel safe enough to be open—not like you're sitting in a sterile, clinical interview. We'll spend time discussing what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope will be different in your life. Just as importantly, the first session is an opportunity for both of us to determine whether we're a good fit. A strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important predictors of success in therapy. Finding that right connection matters. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling calmer, with greater clarity, and with a renewed sense of hope for the future.
