Great to meet you!

Hello! I have 3 little children and enjoy spending time outside and being active. I can enjoy a day reading at the beach or spending time in the snowy mountains. I specialize in helping people move towards health and peace and away from burnout, overwhelm, and perfectionism. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space for you to be comfortable but also challenge as appropriate to aid in growth. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients identify the thoughts and behaviors that fuel stress and exhaustion, while teaching practical strategies to regain confidence and rest. I also incorporate Somatic Experiencing to provide healing through the body in physical movement.

My approach to therapy

If you choose to work with me, you would receive counseling through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Somatic Experiencing. Using these approaches enables you to create healthier thought processes, behaviors, and relationships. You will learn how to move into a state of calm and regulation and move out of constant survival mode. I provide in session techniques and guided practices to aid in your understanding of your body and mind and learning what is effective.

What you can expect from me

In the first session I ask a lot of questions so I can work to understand you, the patterns you've developed, and learn what you want to accomplish through therapy. We work to figure out an approach that feels best for you so you leave feeling hopeful and cared for. I can answer any questions you may have and lead the session if you're unsure what direction to go in or where to start.
