Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dana Rivera, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Willow and Womb Wellness. I specialize in supporting women, birthing people, and LGBTQ+ families through life’s most tender and transformative seasons—including fertility journeys, pregnancy loss, postpartum transitions, identity shifts, and the rediscovery of self beyond caregiving.

With a Master of Social Work from NYU and years of experience in trauma-informed, reproductive, and perinatal mental health care, my approach is grounded in both clinical expertise and lived experience. I offer a compassionate, affirming space where clients can process complex emotions, navigate transitions, and reconnect with themselves at their own pace.

If you’ve felt isolated, overwhelmed, or unseen while navigating these parts of life, please know you’re not alone—and you don’t have to go through it alone either.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply attuned to your unique story. I work from a trauma-informed, person-centered lens—drawing on modalities such as narrative therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches to support healing and self-discovery.

I believe therapy should feel like a safe and affirming space where all parts of you are welcomed. Together, we’ll explore not only the challenges you’re facing, but also your inner strengths and values. Whether you’re navigating grief, identity shifts, or reproductive transitions, my goal is to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and compassion.

While our work may touch on difficult emotions, I also believe in the healing power of a little laughter along the way. Humor, when used thoughtfully, can offer relief, perspective, and sometimes even a much-needed exhale.

Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about holding space for your growth, healing, and reconnection to self.

What you can expect from me

You can expect to feel seen, supported, and grounded in a space that honors both vulnerability and strength. Together, we’ll work toward increased self-awareness, emotional clarity, and a deeper connection to your values, needs, and identity—especially during life’s transitions.

Whether we’re exploring grief, navigating a fertility journey, adjusting to new roles, or processing a shift in identity, I aim to create a space where you can show up fully, with openness and authenticity. Some sessions may feel light and encouraging, while others might feel tender or even a little tough—but each one is part of a larger process of growth.

My hope is that you leave with a deeper sense of clarity, connection, and trust in yourself. Rather than focusing on surface-level solutions, our work will prioritize meaningful reflection, steady growth, and sustainable healing.
