Great to meet you!

I believe that understanding where we've been can help us make meaningful changes in where we're going. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I work with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, identity concerns, and the emotional challenges that can come with life's transitions. I recognize that our experiences are shaped not only by our personal histories, but also by our relationships, communities, and cultural backgrounds. What feels difficult or overwhelming to one person may look very different to another, and I believe those differences deserve to be understood and respected. My goal is to offer a thoughtful, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, reconnect with your strengths, and begin moving toward a life that feels more aligned with who you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in the belief that therapy should reflect your individual needs, experiences, and goals. I draw from evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, and trauma-focused approaches to help you understand patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. I also value a strengths-based, culturally responsive perspective, recognizing that healing is influenced by the many parts of our identities and the environments we live in. Together, we'll explore what's contributing to your struggles, identify what matters most to you, and work toward changes that feel both practical and meaningful.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin understanding your experiences, concerns, and what you're hoping to gain from therapy. I'll want to learn about the challenges you're facing, the experiences that have shaped you, and the areas of your life where you'd like to see change. We'll also explore your strengths, support systems, and any goals you may already have in mind. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet. We'll begin with what's most important to you and work together to identify a direction that feels comfortable, collaborative, and supportive of your needs.
