Great to meet you!

Thank you for visiting my provider profile at Headway. I look forward to connecting with you on your journey. It takes courage to ask for support when we're struggling. I've been a clinical therapist for around 10 years and I believe that you deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

My scope of practice in primarily adults. My experience includes working in varied settings; residential treatment, therapeutic boarding school, behavioral health hospital and in crisis intervention agency. I've been in private practice since 2019. I studied at Northeastern Illinois University and earned a BA in psychology, before pursuing my MA in mental health counseling. I have 4 years of experience in couple's counseling.

I believe that you are the expert of your own life. My role is to provide an empathetic space for you to observe your mental, emotional and behavioral health patterns, and to provide tools and strategies for coping with life's challenges.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be individualized to a person's needs. My therapy style is client-centered and existential. My interventions pull from various therapy modalities including, ACT, DBT, CBT, psychodynamic, emotion-focused and behavioral interventions. I use motivational interviewing to support clients for change readiness.

What you can expect from me

Therapy should be fun and provide a sense of direction. You should have goals that you're invested in and it should be attainable. I encourage my clients to be patient, to identify their strengths and to cultivate a sense of self-acceptance and self-compassion.
