Great to meet you!

Starting counseling can feel like a big step, so it’s important to know a little about the person you’ll be working with. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a doctorate in Counselor Education, and I’ve spent much of my career supporting young people as they navigate life’s challenges. Before moving into my current role, I worked as a school counselor at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, which gave me a deep appreciation for how experiences and needs can change across different stages of life.

I now focus on working with adolescents and young adults, especially those dealing with anxiety, depression, and grief or loss. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself—no judgment, no pressure—just support as you work through what’s on your mind. I see counseling as a collaborative process, and I’ll meet you where you are while helping you build tools and insight to move forward in a way that feels right for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative—I see us as partners working together toward your goals. I value open communication and mutual respect, and I encourage you to share honestly about what you need from the process. Because everyone’s experiences are different, I tailor our work to fit your unique needs and strengths. Along the way, I will listen, gently challenge you when needed, and support you in building insight and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you’ll have the opportunity to share what brings you to counseling and what you hope to get out of the process. We’ll spend time getting to know each other and talking through any questions you may have. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, warm, and welcoming so you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—we’ll take it one step at a time together.
