Great to meet you!

I'm a bilingual licensed psychotherapist (LMHC) based in Miami, originally from Puerto Rico. I provide individual therapy in both English and Spanish, creating a space where you don’t have to explain your culture, your identity or why you feel like you don’t quite fit in. I earned my Master’s in Psychology from Albizu University and my Bachelor’s degree back home in San Juan, Puerto Rico, shaping my ability to blend cultural understanding with evidence-based care.

I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, identity struggles, relationship challenges, and the unique experiences of the LGBTQ+ community. My style is warm, honest, and a little humorous when it helps. If you’ve ever felt misunderstood, emotionally drained, or stuck in survival mode, you’re not alone. I believe some pain doesn’t come with a lesson and that’s totally fine. Healing is still possible, even in the darkest moments, not because we need to erase the pain, but because we learn to sit with it, honor it, and grow from it only when we’re ready!

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered and tailored to meet you where you are. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, while adapting the process to fit your unique experiences and goals.

I focus on creating a space that feels safe, honest, and collaborative. Together, we explore patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be impacting your well-being, while working toward practical ways to move forward. I also believe therapy should feel human, so alongside empathy and honest feedback, I may bring in a bit of humor when it helps lighten difficult moments.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is simply a conversation, not a performance. I’ll ask questions about your background and what brings you to therapy (medical history, family dynamics, symptoms, and goals) so I can better understand your story. Because of that, the first session can feel a little structured or even awkward at times, and that’s completely normal. After that, the process tends to feel different. I’m not a rigid or super structured therapist because life itself isn’t structured. Emotions shift, things change, and new experiences come up, so I try to adapt to what you need in the moment. You don’t need to arrive with perfect answers or even know where to start. If something feels heavy, we can sit with it together, and sometimes a little humor helps along the way.

***Please note: I do not participate in legal proceedings and do not provide court-related documentation, testimony, or FMLA/disability paperwork. Please consult your primary care provider or another medical professional for those services.***
