Great to meet you!

I offer mindfulness-based individual psychotherapy for those who want to understand their relationships better, manage their stress or anger better, or just figure out how to have a happier more fulfilling life.

I'm also a board approved clinical supervisor, and love providing professional or personal support for new clinicians.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I combine strategic behavioral approaches with a post-modern/mindfulness-based understanding. The way I see it, everything you do is an earnest attempt to meet a legitimate need. The problem is that sometimes you might pick a bad strategy for getting that need met. It might be bad because it doesn't work, or it might be successful in the short run, but problematic over time.

What you can expect from our first session

I like to think of therapy as a place to find acceptance, to develop a better understanding of yourself, and to design some experiments to run in your life. Any time I have a suggestion, it's just an experiment. If it works, awesome you now have a new tool. If it doesn't, awesome you now have more data for designing a better solution.
