Great to meet you!

I'm Daniel Cox, a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been practicing since 2019. I received my master’s degree in counseling psychology from Nelson University f/k/a Southwestern Assemblies of God University. My professional background includes 17 years as a teacher and counselor working with students with special needs, who are at-risk, or are in crisis. Prior to obtaining my LPC licensure, I spent 15 years serving as a lay counselor for a local ministry teaching and facilitating groups for personal growth and inner-healing seminars. I have worked with adolescents and adults, in religious settings, the classroom and in the wilderness.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic strategies are eclectic but rooted in cognitive behavior therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I desire to help clients navigate the peaks and valleys of life while searching for and discovering the next step in their journey towards healing and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

Known for my patient, welcoming, and laid-back approach, I aim to create a non-judgmental environment where clients can honestly open up knowing that they are being heard, seen and valued. I partner with teens and adults who are working through a variety of challenges, including family of origin issues, relationship struggles, educational difficulties, addictions and many other obstacles or challenges encountered throughout life.
